Terror Mapping (2016)

76 x 50 cm (each)Photolithographs on paper
Edition of 5

“Terror Mapping” is a series of prints rooted in a critical examination of the visual imagery that dominated global media during pivotal geopolitical events, notably the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the emergence of ISIS (also known as Daesh). Through a deliberate juxtaposition of these charged images, the work constructs an alternative visual discourse—one that disrupts the linear narratives and representations perpetuated by Western media frameworks.

By confronting these iconographies side by side, Terror Mapping interrogates the mechanisms through which images are mobilized as instruments of propaganda, shaping collective memory and public consciousness.
